Latinas all over the country are rising up to meet the leadership challenges that exist in their communities and in our country.  It gives us great pride to know that more Latinas are throwing their hat in the political ring, seeking political appointments, joining commissions and boards, and engaging in public service in a myriad of ways.  We have a shared vision for our country; one in which we will all have a voice and the opportunity to bring our talents, perspective, and priorities to the table. In doing so, these leaders will help shape the decisions that impact our families, the Latino community, and our entire nation.
We know that we have a long way to go before we can say that we have truly achieved a representative democracy.  But, on this International Women’s Day we are grateful to the Latina trailblazers who are paving the way for many more women and girls. As we continue to grow and carry out the mission of LatinasRepresent, we look forward to working with you to lift up leading Latinas and to support all of those who seek to make meaningful contributions through public service.
Celebrate International Women’s Day by being inspired by some of the Latinas who are working to make our country and our world better through their leadership, vision and sacrifices. Find their stories at
